О фильме:
Шесть лет назад Амелия потеряла мужа в ужасной катастрофе, так что ей пришлось в одиночку воспитывать их сына Самуила с самого рождения. В последнее время практически каждую ночь мальчика мучают кошмары о чудовищном монстре, который, по мнению Самуила, хочет убить и его, и его мать. Когда однажды Амелия находит на полке книгу «Бабадук» и начинает читать её своему сыну, тот понимает, что Бабадук – это именно то существо, которое ему снилось. Он пытается убедить Амелию в этом, но вскоре та и сама начинает замечать нечто невероятное и постепенно понимает, что сын предупреждал её о реальной опасности.
